We are now located downtown at 301 W. Wall St. #100 in Janesville, WI.

We are the first and ONLY low-waste, eco-friendly store in our area!

In addition to the plastic-free, sustainable essential items available on our website, our in-person store offers even more essentials as well as a wide variety of package-free, bulk foods and goods that allow customers to bring and refill their own containers. We will also offer fresh ground organic peanut butter, a small amount of locally grown produce, and handmade crafts and goods made by people right here in the state-line area.

The idea is for you to bring your own containers to fill with products that would normally come packaged in plastic, and to bring your own bags to carry out your purchases. Though we will have some free, used, donated bags and jars available if you’ve forgotten yours, they are on a first come, first serve basis and are not guaranteed to be available. There will be new jars and bags available for purchase, but we encourage you to bring your own! Using what we already have is ALWAYS the most sustainable option!

We encourage you to come in and take a look at what we offer and how it works before you decide to shop our bulk section so you’ll know what to expect and what containers or bags you may need when you come to shop.

Though the name of our store says “Bulk Shoppe”, we will not be offering large quantities of goods such as a Sam’s Club or Costco would... yet! We are called a “bulk shoppe” because the store is purchasing the items in large, bulk quantities to save on pricing and packaging so we can sell the products to customers in smaller amounts without the packaging and at a more affordable price. (Yes, there is still original packaging, but buying one big package is a lot less packaging than the same amount of product broken down into smaller packages …and most people don’t want to buy 5 pounds of cream of tartar or 50 pounds of kidney beans!) With this concept, please be aware that for now we have quantity limits on refillable items that are sold by weight (for more information on these limits, please see our Bulk Items page). This helps allow as many people as possible to have access to the foods and items they need.

Also, please remember that we are just starting out!! We appreciate your patience with us as we grow. Hopefully we will soon be able to get larger quantities and varieties of items.
